Windows 11 24H2 MSDN ISO Download (August 2025 Update)

Windows 11 24H2 is the annual feature update released by Microsoft in October 2024 for the stable channel, with the build number starting from the 26100 series. Based on the accumulated innovations of Windows 11, it introduces exclusive AI experiences for Copilot+ PCs, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth LE Audio support, improvements to the taskbar and File Explorer interface, intelligent power management, and features such as "sudo for Windows", while continuing to deliver monthly cumulative patches to maintain security.

Major New Features

Copilot+ AI Experience: Includes real-time captions, Paint Cocreator, Windows Studio Effects, game Auto Super Resolution, and Image Creator/Restyle Image. These features are enabled by default only on Copilot+ PCs meeting the 40 TOPS NPU requirement.
Next-Generation Connectivity: Native integration of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and improved Bluetooth LE Audio (new hearing aid profile), delivering higher bandwidth and lower latency.
Interface and Efficiency: A cleaner design for taskbar overflow and system tray, restructured File Explorer homepage and address bar, quick QR code sharing, and privacy controls for easier Wi-Fi configuration; new smart power saving mode added.
Command Line Enhancements: Sudo for Windows provides a Unix-like temporary privilege elevation mechanism for command lines, making administrator operations more convenient.

Release and Support Schedule

This version is rolled out in phases, initially delivered automatically via Windows Update after assessing device compatibility. Enterprise and advanced users can manually upgrade using the installation assistant, media creation tool, or multiversion ISO. Microsoft promises no less than 24 months of mainstream support for 24H2, with monthly "B release" (Tuesday patch) and necessary OOB (Out-of-band) updates to fix critical issues.

Known issues are as follows:

1. CertificateServicesClient Error Event Logging

Problem Symptoms:

CertificateServicesClient (CertEnroll)-related errors appear in Event Viewer
Error message: "Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider" provider was not loaded because initialization failed
Error ID: 57
This event is logged every time the device restarts

Impact Assessment:

✅ Does not affect normal operation of any Windows feature
✅ No action required by users
ℹ️ This event is related to a feature currently under development

Resolution Status: 🔄 Microsoft is working on it and expects to release a solution soon

2. WSUS Deployment Installation Error

Problem Symptoms:

Installation failure when deployed via Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
Error code: 0x80240069
Primarily affects enterprise and business environments (home users are not affected)

Resolution Status: ✅ Resolved

Resolution Methods:

Immediate Fix: Refresh and resynchronize via WSUS to install this update
Group Policy Handling:
- Special group policy previously issued via Known Issue Rollback (KIR) is no longer required
- Group Policy Location: Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025 → KB5063878 250814_00551 Known Issue Rollback
- Organizations can remove this group policy configuration
