How to Close MigHost.exe Pop-up? Fix Infinite Pop-up Issue on Windows in 30 Seconds

Problem Description

When using the Windows system, you may encounter an issue where the MigHost.exe process continuously pops up error windows, as shown in the image below:

Solution

Step 1: Open Task Manager

There are several ways to open Task Manager:

Method 1: Use Shortcut Key

• Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc simultaneously

Method 2: Through Taskbar

• Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar
• Select "Task Manager" from the pop-up menu

Method 3: Use Ctrl+Alt+Del

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously
• Choose "Task Manager" from the blue interface

Step 2: Locate the Problem Process

1. After opening Task Manager, make sure you are on the "Processes" tab
2. Find the process named dllhost.exe in the process list
3. Important: Check the "User Name" column and only focus on the dllhost process showing your current username
4. Do not end the dllhost process showing the username "SYSTEM"

Step 3: End the Process

1. Right-click on the dllhost.exe process under your username
2. Select "End Task" from the pop-up menu
3. If a confirmation dialog appears, click "End Process" to confirm

Step 4: Verify the Issue is Resolved

• Close Task Manager
• Observe whether the MigHost.exe error pop-ups continue
• If the pop-ups stop appearing, the issue has been resolved

Notes

• Only end the dllhost process under your User Name, do not end the process under the SYSTEM user
• If there are multiple dllhost processes from different users, only end the process for your currently logged-in user
